The President swears and oath to uphold it.
The 45th President attempted to thwart the peaceful handover or power in 2021, on January 6th.
He was impeached.
The Republican Party refused to confirm this.
The 45th President of the US was inpeached. Twice.
The fourteenth amendment bars a convicted felon from becoming President.

The US military bombed and had feet in Venezuela, kidnapping its President and his wife.
Congress did not approve this.
For a constitution to work, to be effective, the checks and balances on power of the Executive and Administitive Branches have to work to define and limit power.
The US had a written and codified constitution that the President swore to uphold, and a Supreme Court in which to litigate against abuses of executive power. Yet the SCOTUS meely nodded along.
