Two days of stonewalling from the Government seems to have worked, as stories regarding the Chritmas Parties seem to have gone away, even in the Daily Mirror.
It is a simple case of if there were gatherings/parties as described, they could not have been within the Government's own guidelines.
Blanket non-denial denials with no realy follow up questions have let the story go cold.
I feel that with almost any other pM, or with a Labour PM, the Government would have fallen over this alone. The fact the 4th Estate failing to hold the Government to account in this and in most policy areas has dire consequences for democracy in this country.

And neither will the Metropolitan Police take any action against the Government, not after Johnson and Patel failed to hold Dick to account for multiple failures on her watch as being in charge.
It is a cabal of liars, the Police and Press are in on the scam, while our rights are being stripped from us.
Still, what about that Megan, eh?
