Friday.
Maybe, head office are just trying to tell me something..... As today I could log into any systems at all, just webmail. Both VPM clients did not recognise me let along refuse my password. I had no password to refuse. I stared at the screen, and nothing happened. A perfect end to the week then. In Denmark, there is a grand party marking the foundation of our new company, our new venture. Joint venture. They all have the funky new software, which we are planned to get next week. A roll out system which IT describes as 'robust'.
At least I had offline stuff I could do; recalculating the KPIs i did on Wednesday, as i must have had a massive brain dump as half the figures weren't not just wrong, but wildly wrong. So, it took three or so hours to do them again, create more spreadsheets, more graphs.
Meanwhile, Jools went to Tesco then to the job centre to sign on. Things have not changed, they don't believe a word that anyone says.I guess its the best policy seeing as some who try to swing the lead and get the dole for a few sherberts down the Dog and Duck. Anyway, that is all done now and so the weekend can begin. I have even done another session on the cross-trainer, mixed and cooked a baked vanilla cheesecake, but that won't be ready until tomorrow.
In other news, 28 days after disappearing without trace, there is still no sign of the Malaysian 777 which apparently veered off course and crashed into the Southern Indian Ocean instead of heading to China. No debris has been recovered from the plane, and the current search areas are based on guesswork. Some undersea survey work is being begun, but speaking as someone with some experience of this, the chances of finding anything is like looking for a needles in a haystack the size of the moon. The seabed is some six miles down, and rises to peaks as high as the Alps. Finding anything, even an airliner in these conditions is almost impossible.
The weekend is here, so lets go out there and rip it up......
