Following on from Monday's post about the Foreign Secretary, a story appeared from the Telegraph's Twitter feed that He would resign by Friday if the Prime Minister did not follow his vision on what Brexit would look like.
Let that one sink on, doubling down on the Telegraph piece on Saturday, a Minister of State leaking to the press that he was trying to change Government Policy. If the first crime wasn't worthy of being fired and suspended from the party, then the second would, right?
Wrong. Boris is Boris said the Prime Minister, and added that she is driving from the front on Brexit. But there was to be no sacking.
Later, further leaks appeared stating that Boris would now stay. This is like an left field version of The Thick of It. It also emerged that May and Boris had traveled on different planes, but were staying at the same hotel, and yet not planning to meet, until the media pointed this out. Now Boris is flying back on May's plane on Friday after her "keynote" speech.
So, there you have it, Boris can do whatever he wants, and not be sacked, because the Prime Minister is in such a weak position, as the Torygraph thinks he's ace. Ace hole maybe.
