Riding the new COVID wave

There is a new wave of COVID infections, although it isn't getting much attention on the news.

Infections are up 22% week on week, with admissions to hospital up 33%.

Meanwhile, take up of the 2nd booters is slow, and for us the system though one part says we can book an appointment, the appointment booking part says we're not eligible.

Over 1,100,000 people in the UK are suffering with long COVID, some have had it since the start of the pandemic two and a half years ago.

Losing such a significant part of the workforce, at a time when there are hundreds of thousangs of vacancies should make immigration more important. But the new Home Secretary is dogmatically opposed to immigration, despite her family having benefitted from it.

I am seeing more people wearing masks again.

Not sure where this ends up, with multiple variants on the increase, winter is nearly upon us, weekly testing is now below half a million. Tracking new waves of new variants is critical, but this Government, like the one before it, has dropped the ball.

Maybe its nothing to worry about......
