Brexit has failed on all what it promised.
And the endless promises of jam tomorrow are starting to wear very thin.
Beware, the Daily (Hate) Mail wailed today, "There's a secret plot to unravel Brexit".
David Lammy and Michael Gove were, apparently, among attendees at how the UK can have closer links with the EU.
That Gove attended shows that he, as a hardline Brexiteer, knows the truth, that Brexit has been a disaster, and cannot be solved with weakening what links we still have with the EU.
Brexiteers know that this will be a first step, mut a set of steps that will lead, in time, if not to rejoining, but a closer, more practicle relationship with the EU.
It might not be much, but it is a start.
