Thursday 2nd September 2010

Thursday: sometime in September: early September.

The sun is shining outside and here I am in the office with a headache and toothache. Work is quiet, but steady; which means I can keep on top of things and am still ahead of the curve as far as monthly results are concerned. In fact, if all goes well I should exceed September’s target on only the third day of the month. But then I have had broken promises before on refund POs. We shall see.

The other main news is that I am still waiting to get my grubby hands on the contract to sign; but it is looking good and there is nothing to suggest it will not arrive next week. It should have dropped on my doormat this week, but for reasons outside my control it will be next week. We have spent the week planning where to go from this, repairs to the house, maybe a new bath. But there are plans for sure.

It's that time again

It is dawn when we get up now, and most mornings golden or red light comes in through our spare bedroom window, flooding the hallway with wonderful colours. Flowers in the garden that a week or so ago were full of colour have now turned to seed, and the birds seem to hunting for food with new urgency. Autumn is coming.

We went out for a walk on Tuesday evening, just to the end of our road, to see the harvest and take a few pictures. On the way to work now, there are very few fields left to harvest, and the bales are collected and stored for the lean days ahead.

In work, we have nearly finished the project, and thoughts turn to what will come next, and for, of course, the new job.
