Friday 1st March 2024

Friday at last.

And it is the first day of spring.

Apparently.

Though no one really told the actual weather.

Saying that, it did clear up in the afternoon, enough to snap the vista from the back doorstep of the garden and Dip looking vibrant green, full of the vigour of new growth.

At work, a day full of meetings, which I did not get a break from until half ten, at which point it was time for breakfast, and half an hour later, lunch.

It was a day of chaos, and so it came as a relief to log off at two and pack the computer away, putting it in my travel bag ready for another road trip on Monday.

I listen to four Danny Baker podcasts back to back. Had now now I pay for them, and with the trip to Iceland and Isle of Wight I found I had ten episodes to listen to.

Sixty one After the music quiz, we went to Jen's, as we had arranged a family meal of Chinese, as Jen is flying to Australia on Sunday for two months, so a chance to say goodbye, and also to wish her happy birthday.

John, Mike, George and Trinny came, and we feasted on takeaway and drank cheap fizz.

Which was pretty perfect.

We take our leave at quarter to nine, driving home back along the A2 to home in yet more heavy rain.
