A glorious Spring day, and to out out exploring.
Except I cant, really.
We were going to go to the Castle, but after a walk round Tesco first thing, my knee began to ache, so it was a day to take things easy, soak up some rays, watch the birds and listen to the football.
As we were just finishing at Tesco, Jools remembered that she had a hair appointment in TEN MINUTES, so I dropped her down town, while I went back home to pack the shopping away and prepare breakfast and put out the bird food.
Jools has some spare time due to a downturn at work, so is going to decorate the back room where she does her hobbies, so she is up there getting things ready.
It was just nice to site on the bench and look at the birds filling the feeders and hedges near them. A half hour spent in the sunshine sure recharges ones batteries.
And with fresh stock of painkillers, the ache in my knee faded.
There was, of course, football all afternoon. So I watched the Ipswich game first, then retired to the sofa with Scully to follow Norwich.
Town had conceded twice in the last four minutes to lose in Cardiff, Norwich were playing Rotherham, twenty points adrift from safety at the bottom of the table. City ran out 5-0 winners, and when that was over there was England v Ireland in the rugby, and half an hour later the Arsenal v Brenford game began.
So much sport.
England won with an added time drop goal, ending Ireland's dreams of back to back grand slams.
So it goes. So it goes.
Tomorrow (Sunday), there would be 18 hours of rain. Chances of going out: nil.
