The surge

On Sunday and Monday, the UK saw nearly 3,000 new cases of COVID 19 each day.

Last week saw a push to get more people back to work, children to return to schools and students to go back to college and university.

We have no idea, really, in which group of people the surge happened, or if all three, as the track and trace system isn't working.

If some parts of the UK were in Europe, the infection rates are so high they would be on the quarantine list.

The idea that the virus wouldn't cross national borders when most countries are seeing surges in cases too, even those with a working track and trace system. Cases in France are surging, as they are across Europe.

So it was only a matter of time.

If a choice has to be made, then schools will remain open and offices will close.

Tonight, no Government Minister or spokesperson would go onto Channel 4 news to discuss the situation. Government is boycotting C4 due to their critical coverage of both COVID and Brexit.

Petty?

Of course.
