Yellowhammer

On Wednesday, a junior minister was photographed holding a briefing paper, I mean, don't they ever learn? Anyway, the briefing was about something called "Operation Yellowhammer", or the Government's response to a no deal Brexit.

On one hand, it's good to know they're taking it seriously, but then relying on the private sector to stockpile good so the country doesn't run out, I mean, you would have thought the Government who are pushing through this madness would take some responsibility? But no.

In other news, the ERG decided not to publish 20 no deal Brexit plans, "in case it gave the Government ideas", apparently. And they are still banging on about he Irish border issue is a non issue. But then the NI Secretary did reveal in an interview yesterday, that when she was given the role, she did not realise that Unionists were Protestants and voted to remain in the UK. I mean, we know that Chris Grayling is fucking useless, but you would think that having some basic understanding of their brief would be a prerequisite.

Rumours are of another major fudge ahead to allow a WA to be agreed when it in fact isn't, thus kicking the can further down the road. Nothing would surprise me, but what would shock me is the EU breaking their four freedoms, which under any circumstance I can't see happening.

Parliament is back from its holibobs, and I have been away, so a a little remote from the goings on in Westminster, will try to do better next week. But in the meantime another week nearer the 29th March.

Sleep well.
