During the referendum, Michael Gove said, and this isn't an exact quote, but something along the lines of: "I think you'll find the British pubic have had enough of experts".

Quite.

So we have the most stupid version of the most stupid political idea (Brexit) executed by those who and wholly believe in Brexit, not for any rational reason, they just do. Just like flat earthers, the stronger the evidence that their belief is stupid makes them believe in all the harder.

I know there will be some who read these words who voted for Brexit, but I would hope even they admit its not gone well. And the Brexit we might end up with bares no resemblance to the Brexit promised in the referendum. Heck it bears little resemblance to the Brexit promised in December's election. But with his 80 seat majority, it'll be the one we end up getting.

Anyone who dies not believe in the holy purity of Brexit is either purged from Cabinet, Government or the party.

And now the dogma has turned to the coronavirus.

Information is key. Information to quell rumours and panic. Instead we get secret briefings to political lobbyists, tests put out in blogs or articles written by the Health Minister available in the Torygraph, so you either have to buy it or pay to get beyond the pay wall. These people are morons.

And now there is the threat that the most vulnerable might be put under effectively house arrest for four months, or more. An idea which was punted on one day, and denied the next, then became a possibility. No wonder there is panic buying.

Control of the virus in the first few weeks is essential, but instead of listening to virus, immunologists, the World Health Organisation, the Government is listening to it's "Nudge" counsel that want to get 60% of the population infected. That this will kill hundreds of thousands of the sick, old, very young or venerable is neither here nor there.

And there is little testing, not tracing of the history of those who test positive to inform those who might also be infected, so the data the Government plans to use to "control" the outbreak is incomplete.

They plan to open and close schools to turn on and off the infection supply to the population.
