More lies

Twice now, Health Secretary, Matt Hancock has insisted that the Government's plan was to enclose the care home system in a protective ring. It was a protective ring that allowed patients from ICUs and hospitals with no records and no COVID 19 testing to be moved into the care home system.

22,000 people in the care home system have died so far. That protective ring didn't work.

And as Hancock also stated that the ring is being strengthened this week, means that it wasn't a protective ring in the first place.

Words fail me on how residents in care homes were sacrificed for a political promise that the NHS ICUs wouldn't be swamped. They weren't, but at a huge cost. Fourteen and a half Titanics is the cost.

This should be a national scandal. Instead, papers like the Daily Fail attack Teacher's Unions for wanting actual facts and wanting proof that their members would not be at risk.

Militant wankers.

I spoke to someone today, an intelligent bloke, and he accused the Unions and teachers of politicising the situation: by wanting to have facts. I guessed he reads the Mail. Could be wrong, but they are being very provocative, and reporting just one side.

Meanwhile in Brexitlalaland, Barnier responded to the UK's letter, with this damning put down:

“I share your commitment to helping the process move forward together,” Barnier wrote to Frost. “I do not think, however, that an exchange of letters regarding the substance of the negotiations is necessarily the best way to discuss on substantial points.

"It cannot be a substitute for serious engagement and detailed negotiations and, in particular, I would not like the tone that you have taken to impact the mutual trust and constructive attitude that is essential between us."

Or, fucking grow up.

Such negotations are based on leverage; the EU has lots and the UK has little. The EU can see our hand, get serious or get fucked.
