Not an administrative oversight, it was Government policy

The case of the Windrush Generation continues abound, with news that children of the emigres are still being deported back to a country they have never lived in, whilst their elderly relatives worry themselves into an early deathbed. As we had travelled to Eastwell, it only seemed right that we tried Westwell. This was locked on my only previous visit, so did not hold out much hope.

And all the while, now that the Hate Mail et al have ran the story, there is apologies from Amber Rudd and the PM. Only it emerged today that there was a deliberate policy in 2019 to destroy the landing cards of the Windrush immigrants )I use that term, but they were all granted UK citizenship), but the destruction was their only proof they were here in UK legally. Lets not beat around the bush here, this was a deliberate policy for then coalition Government, and it's Home Secretary, who was one T. May. Now the PM.

This was deliberate, to create a culture of fear, to stop being being able to claim for health care, pensions, housing and in some cases, deportation. Nothing accidental about that, a deliberate attack, and not to hold May or Rudd to account for this, the pain and anguish, the advertising trucks with posters persecuting people it claimed were illegals, and in Conference, and I'm not making this up, the Home Secretary, now the PM, making up a story of an immigrant being granted leave to stay because he had a pet cat. A lie then, as it is now.

And of course the EU is worried for its citizens are Brexit, in that what promises the UK make now can be expected to be honoured if it does this to people who have lived and worked here in UK for half a century or more. Both Rudd and May should resign, but what was once a matter of resignation is now an every day event, so common it is hardly worth noting.

This is May's Britain, post-Brexit nightmare where we will soon be asked to spy on each other. Mark my words.
