Back to Gino's

So, after a lazy few hours in our hotel room, we decided to go back out for dinner, back to Gino's as Jools did not make it the previous night.

Another walk to Gino's It is just a short walk down Michigan for two blocks, then hang a left by one of the high fashion shops, and join the line waiting outside the restaurant.

Another walk to Gino's A 15 minute wait we were told.

Another walk to Gino's So we waited, and in ones and twos people were allowed in. People came tried to jump the line, but a poor girl on duty in just a think jumper, shivered as she told them in no uncertain terms to get to the back of the line.

Another walk to Gino's Quite right.

We were allowed in, and showed to a booth. Hard to believe how busy the place was for a Sunday night, partly down to the football showing behind the bar, and those fine people who had taken part in the marathon, looking to celebrate their finishing, showing off their medals each runner who completed the 26 miles.

Another walk to Gino's I ordered a small pizza, topped with Italian sausage, Jools had pasta and chicken. A 25 minute wait for the pasta and 45 for the pizza.

We talked about Mum and what had passed these last two weeks, and I kept an eye on the Steelers playing at the Chargers. It is a few years since I watched any NFL, but you can still pick it up easy.

Another walk to Gino's I had ordered a small pizza, but to be honest, as we had eaten well through day, it was hardly surprising when I found I couldn't finish that either. But the pizza was great, and I took the uneaten slice to keep in the fridge in the room, lest I get hungry during the night.

Another walk to Gino's We walk back to the hotel, along packed sidewalks, then up to the room.

Phew.

Jools lays on the bed, I look at photos, and we are off to bed at half nine.

Rock n roll.
