Where we are. Reprise

For the last two month, Johnson and Cummings have been coming up with cunning plan after cunning plan, all of which have failed in the most spectacular fashion, the lowlight of which must be having found by the Supreme Court to have given the Monarch unlawful advice, and reading between the lines, lied to her too.

A series of little thought over "legal" challenges have either been suggested or taken to court, and shown to have been nothing but hot air and the poorest of cunning plans.

But in the latest polls, let us not forget that Labour is something like 15 points behind the Conservatives. Despite the current Government being the worse in living memory and pursuing a policy to crash the economy and take the country over a cliff edge.

Time after time, their cunning plans have failed due to the fact they have not understood the issues, either of the EU, the international or domestic law or even the constitution.

All unforced errors, and all so avoidable.

And after two months of failure, as Brexit enters the final month, for the third time, there seems every chance they will fuck it up again, though try to blame anyone else.

Their latest wheeze, to try to get Hungary on side to veto an extension was turned down. By Hungary today. The answer was what could the UK offer that is better than Germany?

Well.

One final point: almost all the public statements and leaks from the UK saide have been for domestic consumption, to drive a political agenda keeping either May or Johnson in power as long as possible, and mostly playing the two wings of the party off each other. There was always going to be a point where both had to choose to go no deal or soft Brexit. And half of the party will be very angry.

These leaks and speeches are repeated verbatim by the BBC and amplified by the press with WWII rhetoric. It is pathetic.
