I didn't even need a haircut as I had a quick trim in Canterbury on Saturday, so we could lay in bed until midday or beyond if wanted.
Jools had a one on one camera course booked in Canterbury, I decided it was too cold to wander round the city, so I would stay home, drink coffee and fuss over the preparation of the potatoes for roasting.
Jools left at nine, I did the washing up, and other chores in the kitchen before peeling the spuds.
There is always podcasts and radio shows to listen to, and after my week or so in Denmark, I'm still catching up with the backlog.
I drain the water from the potatoes, so the starch is removed, before finally boiling them to near mush.
Well, that was the plan. But I got diverted, and half the potatoes were actual mush, so I steam dried the rest and guessing Jools would be back at about half one, put them in the over to roast at about quarter past midday.

All Jools had to do was open the bottle of fizz and pour as I dished up.
There was football on TV and radio. I mean there always is, but this Sunday there were nine straight hours of games from midday where there was the choice of either the Sheffield or Glasgow derbies, then Arsenal v Chelsea, then the League Cup Final between Liverpool and Newcastle before Leicester lost to Man Utd in the evening.
Phew.
After lunch we had the Angel Delight, which took a minute to mix, five minutes to set and 30 seconds to eat. Even if we did have two portions each.

Wowzers.
