Five years

Five years ago today, Sunday, I wrote my first post on COVID. For the next two and a half years I wrote about it almost every day, sometimes several times a day. Detailing the mistakes, lies and mistruths that Johnson, Gove and the rest of his Government told, all the time claiming they were following "the science". When in fact they were not.

I detailed the changes made to metrics that decided lockdowns and releases, and how sometimes they made no sense.

THe "eat out, to help out", which created hundreds of thousands of mass-transmission events just as the second wave was building.

I know what I wrote, when I wrote it, and based mostly of what heard on the news or in press conferences.

Most of the I remember the delays to lockdowns, the denying of reality, each one costing thousands of extra deaths.

And on top of it all, the money and effort wasted on PPE sourced through suppliers who had never supplied PPE before Or since. But they earned their thirty pieces of slver, and Sunak waived £6billion we might have claimed back. We're now paying those same suppliers to destroy the now life-ex pPE they supplied.

And now Labour proposes cutting welfare and forcing more sick and disabled back to work.

Johnson earns £1million a year for writing one column a week for the Daily Hate Mail.

I'll never forget. Or forgive.
