And the only one of the daily newspapers that mentions the Russia scandal is The Times which suggests ministers and even members of the security and intelligence committee might have taken Russian money. I am tempted to say it was a case of whataboutery from someone inside Number 10.
But another Minister claimed that the Russians had all paid for their fast tracked UK residency, and in some cases, passport, so that made then UK citizens, so accepting money from them is no different from accepting a bribe, sorry, donation, from any other UK citizen.
Nothing is really going to change until people see what the consequences are of this power grab and corruption, but by that time it will be too late.
Meanwhile, The Cabinet Office (Cummings) has taken control of all Government data. I'm sure as being the "brains" behind Vote Leave and their misuse and lawbreaking over data, that this is nothing at all to worry about.
And today is the first anniversary of Alexander Boris de Piffel Johnson becoming Prime Minister, and I'm sure you'll agree in what a wonderful success it has been so far.
The "oven ready" Brexit deal is dead in the water, the EU are bored with it and accept its going to happen, while the UK repeats threats to walk away from talks without a deal. Such threats haven't worked out so far, little evidence to show it will do much good in the next few months either.
Today, Johnson is in Scotland to try to convince the country that he is fully behind every corner of the Union, stressing how important to seamless trade a unified single market is. Hmmm, should someone ask him about the European single market and how important that is to trade? As I said before, a trade deal could not be negotiated unless there is a unified British SM at least. Otherwise it was just be for England.
But that would be taking English exceptionalism to its (il)logical conclusion.
Finally, some light news, Liz Truss is in charge of an anti-fake news office within her Trade department, kicking back at the non-believers of Brexit and the oportunities it will bring. Such as more Russian money, more backhanders.
