Brexit and the bulldog spirit

Brexiteers like to compare Brexit with the way, saying we beat Hitler and we can overcome Brexit. Ignoring the fact that Hitler was beaten with an armed forces made up not only with service personnel from the UK, but the Commonwealth and from volunteers from the occupied European countries too. And then the Americans stepped in too.

This week sees the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings.

When the Allied Forces created a bridgehead in Normandy, and pushed Germany back eastwards.

D-Day just did not happen. It was years in the planning and detail. Every last detail was poured over, so that it would have the best chance of succeeding. It wasn't something that was just "muddled through".

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

I have worked in a project based environment for the last 5 years, planning is essential, lest things go very badly.

Before the referendum, Brexiteers had no plan. For the past three years the Brexiteers have been in the prime positions to deliver Brexit. They failed to have a plan.

The document released by the ERG shows they still don't have a plan, understand Brexit, the EU or even the UK.

The ERG seems like Dad's Army compared to those who planned Operation Overlord.

Tinpot Poundland Churchills the lot of em.
