Monday 14th December 2020

After a period of much change, there was more change, as our boss's boss was moved on, meaning we have someone new to get used to.

So it goes.

I woke up with a bit of a woolly head, meaning I skipped phys, again, so had a coffee, another coffee and was ready for the morning meeting. But now with the halfs of our department and my new boss and colleague invited for the first time, at least a chance for both of them to see the team at play rather than full on evil audit mode.

The change was really the only news in town, as the sale of our company went through late Friday meaning we are once again working for Vestas, with full intergration to be complete by February. But unlike when we split from them six and a half years ago, when we all had our jobs secure, we don't know how this will pan out. We have been told that some might be reassigned, but others might lose their jobs.

Reflected glory We just don't know.

So there is a grand meeting of the whole company where we are told no concrete news, other than its good news. Mostly.

Then there is a meeting from our new manager, who asks us what we thought. She has only been with the company a few weeks, but came from Vestas, who knows if thats a good or bad thing. Anyway, we think its good news, until we get any more details.

An hour later our old manager's manager calls us for her last meeting as head of the grand department. She has kept us informed, so I think she did OK.

It was half eleven, and so much to take un, there was no brain caacity for work.

And it is funny to think that just two weeks ago that we had the results of our satisfaction survey, and all seemed so wonderful, and in that time since, I have a new boss, boss's boss and employer.

Crazy.

I do take a break to deliver some cards to our neighbours. Outside it was bright, but cold. I rush round quick and back home for a late breakfast, lunch of fruit.

Three hundred and forty nine I really should have done some phys, but I get a headache and instead go for a lay down on the sofa.

Dinner was simple: crusty bread and stinky cheese, followed by a apple and blackcurrant crumble with vanilla custard.

On the second day of Christmas Jools was late getting home as the port is getting more jammed each day, traffic is moving, but it takes her an extra 15 to 20 minutes to get home. It will only get worse.

THere is no football on for a change, but I am wiped out, so listen to the radio until the dot of nine when we go to bed. And that's that.
