Thursday 13th March 2014

Wednesday.

I drive to work on another stunning early spring morning. The sun shines down through the low lying fog that smothers everything in damp and grey. I flash my lights at the morons who don't seem to notice the fog and are driving with no lights at all, despite not being able to see more than 25m.

I work away, whilst outside the fog clears and it turns into a mighty fine day. The monkeys go out to work, and so all is quiet in the office, with just the noise of Pete, Graham and I drinking endless cups of coffee and then the sound of muted conversation as we joined in conferences on our computers.

Evening Walk, 11th March

With less than three weeks to go until we are joined with MHI in our bold new venture into offshore wind, our new company does not have a name, logo or any of the really important things a company should have. Maybe they'll tell us tomorrow?

Evening Walk, 11th March

Once home we go for a walk in the evening sunshine, just to Fleet house and back. It is great just to be out as we shake the cobwebs from our legs after a day in the office. I take a few warm-coloured shots before we turn for home. And once back we both have a session on the cross-trainer in a bid to shed those spare few pounds, ahem, we are carrying.

In the evening, the internet drops away, so I am able to listen to the football on the radio without the distraction of being online at the same time. Is this a good thing? This night, Citeh crash out to an average Barca side, which means we just have two teams left in the CL, and that might be down to zero come next Wednesday when this round of games is completed.
