COVID in the family

I realise there are some events I need to bring you up to speed with, so bear with me.

Jools has two siblings; a brother, Mke. And a sister, Cath.

Mike was previously married, and had two children, Meg and George, you may remember what happened to Meg, sadly.

Mike divorced, and is now living with Jane, who has two children from a precious marriage too, both now adults; Bradey who we went on holiday with a few years back and Kira.

Kira had just started what used to be called middle school when I first met her, she has grown up, and is now 18.

Barely grown up, really.

Anyway, Kira lives with her grandparents rather than Mike and Jane, so we know little of her life there, other than in November we were told that Kira was pregnant.

Still is.

She is in a relationship with a man a few years older, a manager at a supermarket in Hythe, and they are in the process of moving into their own place, a they are living with his parents or is it grandparents for now.

Anyway, so Kira is four months pregnant, and Jen told us last night that both Kira and her partner are now COVID positive, and so far have mild symptoms.

I guess it was going to happen, but it is getting close.

They both have lost their sense of taste and smell, and have sore throats. We are not sure of the effects of COVID on a pregnant woman.

Anyway, that's it, brought to you late because thanks to the power of red wine, I only remembered after I wrote the blog post.

So, other than that, no further new, but will update as and when.

Take care, y'all.
