The end of the week.
At last.
Jools slept better, though her cough would flare through the day as you will see.
She has a shower, gets dressed and leaves for work. I put out the bins and am ready for work.
Ready for five hours of meetings.
There is the social meeting at eight, and very lighthearted it was. Rainly season seems to be over in India, and is now what they call "cold", 25 degrees.
No Snow in Denmark, but some expected next week.
I close two audits off with the evidence collected and submitted.
Which is nice.
And with bright sunshine outside, we have an afternoon in which we will go to Deal for our 4th COVID jabs, and maybe have a bite out too.
Jools came back at two, saying that her boss was worried about ehr coughing. It seemed no worse to me, and we set off for deal after snack of a brew and a freshly baked short cake which I had managed to squeeze time in to bake between meetings.
We drive into Deal, and once the car was parked, we walk to the chemists, and unlike previous times there was no queue. However, Jools said he had only been free of the infection since the 8th, and me the 4th, so the doctor said we had to wait a few days. Me until Monday and Jools until Thursday, so to be outside the 28 day limit.
We walk to the chippy, go in and order. I had skate and Jools ad scampi, but right away her cough flared, and got worse. Of course, other diner were looking, wondering if she had COVID, but we passed the temperature test earlier.
In the end, her coughing was so bad she could not eat, and went back to the car while I finished mine, though I didn't.
She coughed all the way home, despite being cold, and back home it took an hour before she stopped.
No idea what set it off, but that it jsut flares up suddenly and then fades away. She is fed up with it.
I watch football, and amazingly, Cameroon beat Brazil, 1-0, but go out as Switzerland win in the other game.
Exciting stuff, but from now its knockout football. Sudden death.
