The end is nigh

That Wesday we went to Canterbury to have our annual financial assessment, regarding our pensions.

And we both decided on our retirement date:

April 1st, 2026.

1,211 days from now (Tuesday).

I could retire ten months earlier, on August 25th. And I might.

But Jools said it would be nice to retire in the early spring. I thought about this and agreed, at the start of orchid season.

What's not to like?

We have both worked almost all our lives, and would like to stop while there is something left of our health with which to enjoy not working, not be like my Mother and sit in a chair for 23 and a half hours a day.
