Moving closer to BINO

Those few of you who read these Brexit posts might remember BINO: Brexit in Name Only. Well, it seems there is a major policy shift coming, and it will piss off the Brexit headbangers no end, as there are strong rumours that UK will stay in the Customs Union.

This will almost certainly fix the NI/Irish Border, and queues from Dover to London and beyond. The next thing will be for the next red line, staying in the Single Market, to be rubbed out.

These would pave the way for Britain to move into a transition deal and then an association with the EU, which could last until some point the UK decides to rejoin the EU, but being an associate member may not take a decade.

This is not certain, and when this breaks, May will struggle to stay in power, as Johnson, Gove and Fox will scream betrayal. But they had no plan, they had the key to the Brexit door for nearly two years and could not make it work. Now reality is knocking and there are no other choices.

Unless may is deposed, and one of the Brexiteers takes charge, or (more likely) an election is called where both parties will have to decide what side of Brexit they are on.

Interesting days ahead for sure, with both sides wanting as much agreed before the end of June.

One this, its not going to be dull.
