The end of civilisation as we know it

On Saturday, there was two notable demonstrations in England; One was marked out as the title suggests, the end of civilisation as we know it, and created banner headlines in the press and a suggestion for the Home Secretary to criminalise the organisation responsible.

The second was barely noticed, and certainly not commented on, in the press or by politicians.

Yesterday morning, a coordinated operation stopped some early editions of some national newspapers. It was carried out by Extinction Rebellion in a demonstration regarding global warming.

The other saw flag waving right wing goons, English Nationalists and fellow mouthbreathers block the A20 to Dover Eastern Docks regarding the inflatables bringing migrants to the UK, via the Kent coast.

It was ER who got the headlines, forced a statement from the Home Secretary and today the papers affected reacted angrily.

Hardly anyone noticed that actual fascists were marching in England, waving the Flag of St George, who was not English, did not kill a dragon and probably never existed. If he did live, then was an ancestor of those claiming asylum in England in the boats.

The cost of such migrants is negligable, compared to the cost of Brexit, or the 66,000 excess deaths caused by Government policies, or the hundreds of millions channelled to Johnson's friends and backers to "supply" PPE. It is these things that people should be demonstrating about, but of course, a few brown people in boats, Rule Britannia or English fish is more easy to trigger gammons.

My Grandfather fought actual fascists for 6 years not for them to march in the streets of my town.
