I am just back from the doctor who had called me in after I submitted an e-consult for, to make sure I wasn't suffering from heart failure.
Truth is, I have been flying a desk for 15 years, and my main hobbies outside actual taking of photographs is sitting at the dining room table in front of the computer.
I have poor circulation in my legs causing me to have thin skin and retain water. My legs are sensitive to damage, and then take weeks to heal. All down to not enough blood flow.
Last year's cartlige injury did me no favours either, and made it too easy not to go out.
Tomorrow I join the gym, so can go as often as I want per week after that, rather than pay the nine quid a session.
And so, onwards and upwards
.
My back is never going to get any better, but hopefully no worse.
Retirement is my key to freedom, but also the cure for my issues, with not having enough time no longer and excuse.
So.
Thanks for listening.
One more thing: the holiday involved a surprising amount of sitting, either on aircraft, buses or jeeps, with not much other movement needed. This and the forty plus dregree heat did not help.
