Wednesday 30th April 2025

We were awake just four hours after going to sleep.

It was ging to be a long day.

However, there is no work to worry about.

The last weeks of the holiday we were all fantasising about what foods we were missing. I said fry up and fish and chips.

So, once we were up, had a coffee and were dressed, our first meal back in east Kent was the same as the last one nearly four weeks back: a fry up. One hundred and twenty We drove to Dover, parked up and walked along to Chaplins, too a seat and ordered big breakfasts.

It totally hit the spot.

Then back home to continue to unpack, thin stuff out and get the house back.

So, by mid-afternoon we could see the carpet in the living room, cases had been put away, and five lots had gone through the washer, hung out on the line to dry, and then put away.

It was a fine, warm and sunny day. 25 degrees, hot enough for us, even though we had been in temperatures nearly twenty northwards of that.

There is much about to flower in the garden, so once they start opening, I will snap them.

We went to see Jen and Sllv late in the afternoon, just before the school run began, and it was good to catch up and hear how Sylv had loved cat-sitting.

Dinner was chorizo hash and wine. As wine was very expensive in India, twas the first red plonk I had tasted in nearly a month.

No football on the telly,so we went to bed at eight. It was still warm and light.

We slept well.
