Thursday 15th May 2025

Life is settling down now.

Which is nice.

The plan is to go to the gym twice a week now, and when we went on Thursday it was indeed the second trip there of the week.

But the day was cloudy and cool. And with a keen breeze, too cool to work in the garden, and when out and about I had a jumper on. And later, when we were back home, Jools put the heating on.

We went to the gym at just gone eight, and were back an hour later for breakfast.

After changing we got back in the car and drove to Faversham, to Edible Culture, to see what native perennials they had, and we might take for the lawnmeadow.

Faversham is always a bit jammed up, even at ten in the morning, but once through we parked up and look at what they had.

This little lot cost nearly £50, but with Sage clary, wild pansies, digitalis and more, the garden should be even more bee friendly.

One hundred and thirty five Just the other side of Faversham is the site of the original colony of Monkey Orchids, I thought we could visit.

But when we arrive, the gate has been replaced, lined with much barbed wire and there were warnings of it being private land.

Not sure if I could have climbed the gate, wrapped as it was with barbed wire, so I decided I could wait a few days and see them in Elham. So, we decided not to try, turned round and went hope for an early lunch.

As Jools was going out in the evening, we have chorizo hash for lunch, an hour after getting in, and as I had a glass or two of wine with it, might explain why I slept for two hours and so missed the day-early quiz at six.

I came to just as Jools was making to leave, so, I made a brew and tried to wake up.

Not many turned up for the art class, so she was back by quarter to eight, so we had supper of cheese and crackers whilst yet more play off footy played out on the tellybox.
