All change?

I read a blog post a few months ago that said when May's popularity ends, it will be a sudden fall. And indeed that happened in the wake of the fire at Grenfell Tower.

Not only for what happened, which certainly was not her fault per se, but the blocking of legislation that would have made landlords responsible for ensuring that rented accommodation was fr for human habitation was blocked by Conservative MPs in the last Parliament, over one third of which are landlords themselves. And the local council, one of the richest in the UK, isn't going to take itself to court for providing dangerous accommodation, and any chance of the tenants themselves taking legal matters into their own hands was thwarted when Legal Aid was slashed thus denying the poorest their legal right, securing only the richest will get justice.

No, it was her reaction in the aftermath, only visiting and meeting with senior fire officers, surrounded by police, not meeting with one survivor. Corgyn met and hugged survivors, Prince Harry and the Queen also met survivors, but for Maybot it was apparently impossible aoct in any way human.

On top of this, David Davis idiot in charge of the Department of Exiting the EU has had to agree to the timetable from the EU on negotiations, just like it was predicted he would, and the opposite to what he said would happen. At the moment there is no actual Government, as the deal with those nice folks at the DUP is not agreed, and so May heads a minority Government, with no mandate, talks with the EU begin on Monday with no lead negotiator, no clear policy, no clear red lines and unsure that Davis himself will be speaking for the \government and the country. The Queen's Speech is scheduled for Wednesday, unclear whether there will actually be a Government to write it, or be represented in it.

Meanwhile, economic data gets worse, just as predicted, and the penny begins to drop that the Emperor not only has no clothes, lies, but isn't an Emperor either. Lies built on lies and repeated by the fearless press has brought us to this, and all the while Maybot says Brexit is Brexit and she will Deliver Strong and Stable leadership when she has delivered only chaos. Chaos and confusion.

All the chaos was predicted, and like I said, I am going to get the popcorn and watch the entertainment unfold.
