Tuesday Brexit

Yesterday, even more evidence was revealed showing how the various arms of Cambridge Analytica helped both of the Leave campaigns, and how the details were covered up. Many Ministers, including the Prime Minister, we senior figures in either one of the campaigns, so what chance of there being an investigation? Also the money trail leading to a single billionaire: power to the people?

And still the PM refuses to release the completed report into Russian interference of the 2017 General Election. It passed all security clearances before the election, and yet Johnson refused to release it, and now he insists it has to be passed by the new security committee, once they get round to appointing a chairman, committee and actually meet. 50 Conservative MPs are shown to have links to Russian money.

Johnson still insists there will be no checks on goods entering or leaving NI once Brexit happens, despite all trade experts and actual exporters refuting it. Of course this is not covered in the news or aacross the front pages of Fleet Street, who are more concerned with the Royal Family soap opera playing out.

Brexiteers, in particular Mark Francois, want Big Ben to chime at midnight, this despite the world famous clock being silent as it undergoes repairs. He said he would climb the tower himself and make it bong. Or Johnson is suggesting crowdfunding the half million quid needed to make it happen.

The negotiations that need to be undertaken this year, with the EU and US, are so wide ranging and technical, it is highly likely that mainstream media won't report on them much, as they will be technical in nature. But as we saw from the A50 talks, when there were just a few issues to be discussed, many commentators and reporters could not get their heads round those 3 issues, and call out bullshit from Johnson and co when they opened their mouths. I am sure Johnson is hoping them not talking about Brexit, by name, and the media not interested, that people will forget all about it very soon, especially as once January 31st rolls round and nothing will be seen to change, then focus will drift.

But as we know that is just the beginning, or the end of the beginning, then will come years of talking and negotiations.
