Spaffing other people's money

It is a lie put out by the right that its the left that likes spending tax money. The reality is that the right are only too happy to do it too, spending tax dollars and pouds on missiles, planes, warships, supporting billionaires with tax cuts, and in the case of CIVD in the UK, spending £12 billion on PPE.

Johnson ignored Operation Phoenix that highlighted the PPE shortage in the NHS, and then ignored companies that had been used up to that point for supplying PPE, instead setting up VIP lanes for great wads of cash could be syphoned to their friends and backers.

Turns out £8.9 billion of that money has been wasted: either on PPE that was defect, can't be used in the NHS, went life expired before use or just didn't turn up.

For every £1.30 spent, £1.00 was wasted.

And the Chancellor was going to write off £4.5 billion of that until people noticed.

Yes, there was a pandemic, but contracts created ensured the UK Government paid in some cases many time over the cost for items, and had sufficient PPE had been sourced when a shortage had been identified, then the money not need to have spent, but then their friends and backers couldn't have grown rich from it.

This is the real scandal, so much money wasted, on purpose, and now taxes will rise for the poorest to cover it up.

The Chancellor is married to a billionaire, what does he know of hardship?

What do any of them care?
