Rimmer for PM

There is an early episode of Red Dwarf where there are two Rimmers.

They try to outdo each other.

It does not end well, one had to be erased.

In a similar manner, the dozen or so "hopefuls" to take over from Johnson have been outdoing themselves as to how muc tax they'll be cutting.

It will not come as a surprise to learn than none of it, from any of them, is actually costed.

The latest is one of them, not sure might have been Sajid Javid said he'd cut spending in all dpeartments of Government by 20%. There is literally a war on and he is threating to cu the defence budget by 20% when there's already a shortage of soldiers, sailors, airment, planes, ships, equipment, morale.

But do go on.

It will be auterity on steroids, further transerring money from the poorest to the richest, from the sick and disabled to billionaires.

Cutting Government spending by more than the entire Defence budget just isn't going to happen.

Of course, after Brexit there was supposed to be money for everyone. If only the current Government hadn't spent £37 billion on test and trace and spaffed those billions on useless PPE contracts from their mates.

But they did.

When the country suffered, they grifted.

And all of them saying how different they will be from Johnson as PM, whilst having nothing to do with his policies despite being in his administration. No real serious changes in policy, just unfunded tax cuts.

They will be the same as Johnson, just more cruel, more uncaring, maybe with less lying, but the start doesn't look good so far.

Its like which one of the Four Horsemen will rule the world.
