Wednesday.
I am getting a little behind with my writing, due to an actual bout of socialising on Thursday, instead of sitting on the sofa with Scully.
Anyway.
What can I say about Wednesday?
Well, in the background was the process that was making "proper" baguettes for dinner so dip in the baking Brie I bought at the weekend.
All this involved was the initial mixing of the dough, then just leaving it in a warm place for ten hours.
Inbetween I did check on it from time to time, when I could as the day was filled with meetings and writing reports.
Yes, the thing with audits is each one requires a report and a tracking sheet. Closing meeting to arrange and host, then plan regular follow up meetings. Meaning the more audits you do, the more reports and the meetings just multiply.
The day was cold, dark and damp, with the threat of thundery showers, which did bring one or two downpours, and anyway, I couldn't go out as I was waiting for a delivery of wine.
Italian dessert wine.
Into which you dunk almond biscuits.
Or will do when it arrives.
And despite being given a delivery slot between three and four, from last week I know they can be up to three hours early, so I waited in.
At half three the wine did come, but too late and getting dark, so I don't go for a walk at all, instead sit beside Scully reading a little of the book I started weeks ago.
Dinner was the baked cheese and baguettes, of course, and quite a triumph both were, even if we had four large baguettes, but full of flavour and still warm from the oven, and the cheese covered in walnuts and honey, mixing in with the runny cheese.
And for the evening there is Champion's League on the wireless, Championship on Sky and follow Norwich on Twitter.
Male multitasking.
Norwich play better and end up 3-1 winners over in form Sheffield Wednesday.
Happy with that.
