Et tu, Boris?

At about half three this afternoon, the one time, part time Mayor of London and part time Foreign Secretary announced he was resigning his Ministerial appointment.

A British citizen died yesterday as a result of a Russia chemical attack.

He was due to host a special meeting of Balkan interests in London.

And he was also due to take part in a COBRA meeting in light of the Russian chemical attack.

He also took delivery of a new wine fridge.

So, today, like every other day, it is all about Boris, Boris not allowing himself to upstaged by DD; no Boris could resign as well.

He spoke of a soft Brexit, betrayal of voters, but really, its all about Boris.

So, in the same 24 hour period, we lose the worst Minister for DExEU since the pst was created two years ago, and the worst Foreign Secretary since the war.

May's Government is in meltdown, she might not last the week, heck, she might not last until Wednesday. But all this is about Boris and internal Conservative Party politics, the country is a far, far distant thought. What have we done to get this bunch of chancers, spivs and snake oil salesmen?

This is a clusterfuck of epic proportions, and the EU looks on, mouths agape, at the country that used to control a third of the world, now the PM can't control half her cabinet.

From now on, anything can happen, the madness is yet to begin, but it will end with an election. A very messy general election where the two parties are going to have to chose a position to sell to the country.
