30%

In his news conference yesterday, the Prime Minister suggested the Kent Variant of COVID not only is more infections, but is more deadly too.

This is not a dig at Johnson, just pointing out that viruses mutate, change, its what they do.

Whether it's 30, 20, 40 or something else, I am sure will be studied in detail.

But, there are shortages in deliveries of the vaccine, some doctors are demanding that the gap between 1st and second jabs be halved to six weeks to enure full protection.

It is worth remembering that the vaccine is the only plane the UK has, since pumping £32 billion into Operation Moonshot, and it has failed to track or trace, so data is incomplete, and those who have been in cotact with someone infected are either not being informed or told too late so are already passing round the virus themselves.

What happens if the vaccine does not work as well as hoped, then I have no idea what to do.

And still UK borders are not sealed. The Guardian posted a photograph of crowds at the UK border waiting to cross into the country, not socially distancing, happily super-spreading. Meanwhile UK holidaymakers have been asked to isolate in their hotel in Switzerland. I mean, people are going skiing during a pandemic. What about a deadly disease is it these fuckers don't understand?

I see my friends on social media complaining about traffic levels: there is nothing wrong in going out in a car, it is safe and drivers and passengers won't pass on the virus. eople go out for many reasons: shopping, to get to a place to exercise, work, taking their children to school, going to a medical appointment. A valid reason for leaving is fine,a nd not against the law, or guidance.

But getting the public to blame each other seems to be the plan from central Government. Thus letting themselves off the hook with their muddled messaging.

Sigh.

Meanwhile 1401 people died on Friday.
