The Brexit Paradox

There is a paradox at the heart of the Brexiteers dream, in that they dream of a trade deal with the US, a much larger country, who will dictate terms and present the UK with a "take it or leave it" Hobson's choice for the deal they would be prepared to offer.

Trump is clearly an America First President and has said on numerous occasions current deal favour the other side not the US and need to be renegotiated.

And as Trump has never kept hi word in any deal he has made, always putting pressure on the other side to accept new terms or not get paid at all, and this is the very person brexiteers want the UK to trust with our trading future and the NHS.

Next time a Brexiteer speaks of the US trade deal, substitute the word US for EU, and when they speak bad of the EU, substitute the word EU for US.

Because if one is bad, then both must be too, or if one is good, then both must be too.

In fact, we have a say and veto in EU policies, we wouldn't in a US trade deal.

So, what could possible be in it for them?
