Defining Brexit

It is increasingly difficult to understand the Governments plan for Brexit. Stop laughing at te back! No, words used to have fixed meaning; saying that you were going to leave something meant you would leave it. But it can also mean to leave that and many other institutions too, although that was never the intention back in 2001116 anyway.

Does leaving the SM mean leaving any SM, or just the SM, or calling the SM something else, like Dave.

Britain will be free to strike trade deals after 2010, does that mean with no restrictions, or like Turkey, bound by EU tariffs.

And although Number 10 says it has completed a bill covering the terms of UK leaving the EU, it has yet to be agreed upon by Cabinet, and unless one side or the other seriously backs down and forgets their principles, then that' won't happen.

It comes to this choice for May, either: 1. She agrees that UK will stan in the SM, CU, etc, or a system that is called something different that does the same job, or

2. Has a trade border between the island of Ireland, NI included, and the rest of Britain.

And either choice will bring her government down and her out of Number 10.

The EU stated this week, that there has been no progress on any Brexit issues since March.

And Ireland added that if the border between it and NI is not satisfactory solved, to which Ireland and the EU27 will agree to, there will no no deal, no transition, but a cliff edge in 2019. The EU will be ready, certainly better prepared than the UK.
