End of week Brexit

It seems, if the Irish Government are to be believed, then the UK is for an extended stay in a of even the Customs Union.

Downing Street said a document, which may be a white of green paper, the minister responsible doesn't seem to know, and her lack of knowledge was exposed on national TV, but I digress. We are told all Ministers have signed off on the CU agreement, or we will know is Boris writes something in the Sunday Torygraph or course and the wheels come off again.

But as said before, the or a CU is only part of the problem.

Next up is the SM, which if UK is outside that or something that functions like it, though may be called something else, then paperwork, checks and delays will have to happen, so that is the next battle. And remember that the CU only delays the cliff edge to the end of 2020, if the EU27 and EU Parliament agrees and ratifies it. In time. Failure for any of the EU27 to ratify it will result in no deal.

And then there is VAT.

And citizen's rights

And the Irish Border.

And aviation.

And nuclear materials.

And it goes on and on.

It emerged that the head of the Official Leave campaign, Dominic Cummings is now in contempt of Parliament for refusing to meet attend a joint committee when summoned. Also embarassingly, details emerged that showed data shared between both Leave campaigns, and Leave.EU massively overspent then tried to hide it, but apparently it was a full and fair referendum, and anyone who says otherwise is a remoaner, part of Project Fear and a traitor. So there.

Several countries said that they would only consider trade deals if immigration rules were relaxed. So about that taking back control?

The PM is considering flooding the House of Lords with new Peers to get Brexit legislation through, and to think the Brexiteers were complaining about the unelected EU being undemocratic!

And it was announced that the once Great Withdrawal Bill will not now go back to the Commons for some time, or in due course.

And your regular reminder than whether or not, if any of this shit is not ready and/or agreed, then UK with crash out of the EU with no deal and head over the cliffedge.
