Your Sunday Brexit

It is odd that the Brexiteer like to portray themselves as the patriots, in pushing for a course of action, almost no data, evidence or logic supports, whilst attacking those who are trying either to stop or mitigate the worst of Brexit as saboteurs. No amount of pain for the economy, or impact on jobs or exports is enough for them to question their beliefs. As belief is all Brexit is built upon.

In light of last week's war cabinet and rejection or not of either two policies on future trade that, lets not forget, the EU have already dismissed last summer.

JRM is touted as being some kind of future party leader for the Tories, in which case, the poor, sick, disabled and single parents had better watch out, as there is no lengths to what these idealogues will go to, no pain they are willing to put anyone else other then them and their kind through.

Our hope seems to be the lamest of lame duck PMs being propped up so that some kind of last minute deal can be pulled out in which things might not be so bad after all. That she has driven the hardest of Brexits all this time, as a matter of choice, has emboldened the Brexiteers, to the point just 60 of them in the Parliamentary Conservative Party, drive the party, Parliament and country towards the cliff edge.

It has now reached the stage where I look on, with morbid fascination as facts and figures are dismissed, and the media just nod along so the lies and dogma isn't challenged.

And Labour offers no real choice, Corbyn embraces Brexit for different, but equally flawed reasons. Listening to the radio this morning, hearing a panel on Radio 5 talk about the clusterfuck unfolding on all sides as though it was a minor thing, rather than events that could wipe at least 10% off GDP.

No trade deal has ever been negotiated that makes both sides poorer, but that is going to happen with Brexit, with the UK getting much, much poorer. If you don't believe me, I don't mind. All we have to do is wait for the calendar to tick over to 30th March next year, then each day the reality will be clearer.

By then it will be too late. Too late to change course, but years and years in which to ponder the mistakes, the lies. It will not be pretty.

I have tried not to use the terms that the Brexiteers and Tory Press use against we "remoaners". Saboteurs, unpatriotic, traitors, enemies of the people. Maybe these people and papers should hold the mirror for themselves to gave at their own reflections.
