Rotten from the top down. (thread from Twitter: thanks to @MarinaPurkiss)

Here’s a picture of the corruption we’re dealing with:

- Paterson paid £500ph to advise for Randox

- Randox wins £133m contract for Covid testing without any other firms getting chance to bid

- Govt makes Randox tests mandatory for travel

- Randox reports £218m revenue (+85%)

2 more things you should know about Randox...

1) Our police force suspended all contracts with Randox after discovering a "most serious breach" of forensic science standards

Yet they still won a £133m Govt contract with zero competition

and

2) Randox has also received millions in Govt grants

Yet when a Freedom of Information request was made to understand how much, why and what for...

The Dept for Trade declined

Saying it would cost too much to provide that information

There's more...

The Rugby Football Union & Premiership Rugby ended their relationship with Randox

Why?

Randox was responsible for errors that saw false positives for a number of Bath Rugby players

And yet, the Govt handed them a £133m testing contract

Funny how this was only picked up by medical, but not the mainstream press:

Randox had to recall up to 750,000 unused coronavirus testing kits

Why?

Because of safety concerns no less...

But wait, there's more.

After they had to recall tests due to contamination risks, they were awarded another Government contract worth £347million.

There were also concerns that Owen Paterson was party to a phonecall between Randox and Lord Bethell.
