The price of democracy

It emerged that five large doners to the Conservative Party paid, on average, £3million to the party, and got seats in the House of Lords in return. There are now more members of the Lords that MEPs, Johnson has created nearly 70 news ones in just over two years.

Meanwhile, it also was revealed that there are 8 (eight) pending investigations on Johnson's expenses.

That's not why he wanted to reform the standards committee. Oh no.

Yesterday, Johnson was photographed in a hospital, maskless, again showing the rules do not apply to him, when the national mandate is to wear a mask when visiting any hotel. This is the same Johnson who flew from a climate emergency conference in a private jet from Glasgow to London to attend a meeting with a climate sceptic doner and best friend of Owen Patterson.

U turn after u turn has been made, but showing rather than poor plicies this is a Government pushing the boundaries it can get away with.

Meanwhile the Conservative Whip's office is making it clear to MPs that the order for the three line whip last week came from Number 10, and not them as Number 10 stated last week. I don't think it's a good sign when the Whip's Office is briefing against the PM.

But this is a normal day in Brexitlalaland.

And as soon as COP26 is over, Johnson is apparently planning a trade war with the EU in order to distract attention fome him and please his backbenchers who now, in effect, run the country.
