Seconds out, round four

This morning, Netherlands and Austria introduced lockdowns for those who are unvaccinated. My colleagues in Denmark say the same is coming there soon.

And I can understand why.

There is a freedom of choice issue, whether to be mandated to have a vaccine, but I see it as other's right to live trumps your right to be a selfish prick.

I hope that is clear enough.

The vaccination isn't really to protect you, though it does, but to stop the spread so protect others.

Of course, the UK or at least England, carries on regardless.

Yesterday there were 36,517 new infections, which for a weekend when reportings usually have a day or two lag is quite shcking, and so the rolling seven day average begins to climb again.

Is asking people to be vaccinated, wear masks and social distance too much to ask to keep us all safe?

In this "age of me", maybe it is. Protests against vaccines and masks go back to the Spanish Flu and even took in polio.

Last week the Torygraph reported "just" six children under six died of COVID who had no underlying health issues. That is six lives cut short, needlessly, and the blame should be directed to the Government.

And does the phrase "underlying health issues" mean those who fall under that have lives that are worth less?

Every life should be saved.
