Like it was always the plan

The Daily Mail changed lead stories today, instead of "beergate", it lead on an attack on "leftie lawyers" who were, probably, going to stop the Government's plan to ship migrants to Rwanda because its, like, against the law.

There have been wars fought, people have lost their heads, over whether the King or head of state was above the laws they set.

The Government announced and signed a memorandum of understanding with Rwanda to allow for "processing" of migrants there, despite it being against, at least, English and Welsh law, and also against the UN Charter on Refugees.

The Government knew this when it announced, and probably this was always the plan, to announce the plan, never intending it to be used, because they would expect action in the courts to be brought.

So, Johnson and Patel could look like heartless bastards which appeals to their now core Gammon support for the policy, and then blame leftie lawyers for stopping it.

A win/win.

This is really all they've got.
