Who will speak for the middle?

Last night, Tom Watson resigned. He has been deputy leader of the Labour Party, and the last defence against the full takeover my Momentum.

He quit.

So now there is nothing to stop the Labour party lurch even harder to the left, while the Tories leap further to the right.

Last time Labour were this left, Michael Foot was leader, and he lost by a landslide to Maggie Thatcher who had just started to destroy heavy nationalised industry. Under Crobyn, Labour is pretty much unelectable. And will only pick up votes by tactical voters to keep the Tories out.

Who will speak for Middle England, and Middle Scotland, Ireland and Wales for that matter?

Let us hope the LibDems will pick up votes by the million now.

I no longer recognise this country.
