Change

This morning, our part time Prime Minister announced, well, many things.

First thing to point out is that there is a clear difference between, well, science and what comes out of Johnson's mouth.

Valance and Witty were not in attendance, and as Whitty had said the previous day there was no need to change the current restrictions.

But Johnson had other ideas.

Further loosening was announced, beauty salons and their like can open on August 1st, and possibly football fans could return to stadiums in October, and it might be over by Christmas.

And there is no evidence to back up this course of action. NO scientific data, nothing from scientific advisors.

And Johnson and the Government will not take any responsibility for a further return to work, as such a call was your employer's to make. With no data to back that up, and the employee who might have a multi-legged journey to the office or factory on which to get infected by any one of a number or people.

Maybe Johnson thinks the virus can't get on a train or bus. Maybe travelling at 30mph or more renders it infertile, or something.

In truth, Johnson and Cummings just don't care about people. The small people. You and me. Just the people who bankrolled him and Brexit. If a hundred thousand or two die then we were going to just die soon anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Restart the economy just in time for Brexit to kill it off.

But to admit that would to admit their own failures and lies.

However, Johnson did state that advisors advise, politicians decide, so there can be no doubt this latest course of action, like the ten days delay in imposing lockdown was a political decision, not based on science. Thus laying bear the lie that "we are following the science" always was.
