Rewriting the record

Yesterday, the Health Secretary was recalled to the Commons to answer urgent questions from the Opposition.

In his answers, he contradicted statements he made to the same House in March regarding asymptomatic patients and face masks.

The Government knew and stated on the public record, in Hansard no less, on how dangerous the new virus was and they recognised that. And yet went on to do everything they could to infect as many people as possible.

The only logical conclusion was that it was deliberate.

Like with Brexit, it would have been impossible to tell the difference between May's actions in trying to deliver Brexit and sabotaging it, Johnson and Co's actions in preventing the virus from spreading and infecting as many as people as possible is impossible to tell the difference.

Now with 45,000 "official" dead, and the excess deals tens of thousands higher, and over 20,000 of those who should have been safe in care homes, with the R rate barely under 1 in some of the most populous areas, the Government is unlocking the economy and society with obscene haste. It will be a week to ten days before we see the results of the reopening of pubs and hairdressers, but it seems unlikely that infections will drop.

Not that would probably be detected, as the Government's trumpeted and failed track and trace app that might work in a "world-beating" 25% of cases will ensure each carrier will infect many more than previous.

Hancock would not apologise to care home staff for the PM's statements about them not following advice.

Johnson stood on the steps of Downing Street on Sunday to clap for carers on the NHS's birthday, but this week with reintroduce parking charges at hospitals for the same staff. So this week it clamping for carers?

Tens of thousands of deaths were avoidable, but this and previous Tory Governments actions meant that they happened. And now Johnson wants to tell you it wasn't his fault, Guv. It was them useless care homes staff that had no PPE and had to accept patients with our without COVID, and with only imaginary procedures to follow, which they didn't. The Government done great, now watch the football down the boozer, plebs, while we wreck more democracy.

Nothing to see here.
