Tuesday 5th September 2023

Summer has returned.

With go-faster stripes and Carlos Fandango wide wheels.

Warm and humid at night, and just pain hot during the day. And with no wind either.

The garden is a mix of the lawn and lower bed mostly gone over now before the autumn, but other beds are still a riot of late summer colour.

Two hundred and forty eight Elsewhere there was work, of course, where I challenge a senior member of staff of not doing their job correctly.

It didn't go down well. Neither did the suggestion of no obeying the letter of law.

Well.

So, that was all exciting. And draining.

So, after the meeting I log off and sit in the back garden with Scully, listening to a podcast and reading Rail magazine, all the while birds chirped at their joy at finding the feeders full.

Seven suns I made another loaf, chipotle and haloumi spiced bread.

It came out fine, and went well with Caprese, and having used the last of the jar of chipotle spice, the bread did have quite the kick.

And that was that.

Evening was hot and humid and full of the Infinite Monkey Cage podcast.

Not bad.
