The (blue) enemy within

While Labour is dealing with its own party within a party problems, the Conservatives apparently now have two, with the ERG running things as a decision making Government has gone AWOL, and now there is a new grassroots movement called Leave Means Leave, which seems to be campaigning to unset remain leaning MPs, and that well know serial failure of a would-be MP, Nigel Farage, is about to go out on the road to back Leave Means Leave. Conversative MP has already branded this as Blue Momentum, and certainly they would have her seat in their sights.

That nothing about Brexit makes much sense, and a hard or no deal one no sense at all it will be interesting, if depressing, to see how the new blue headbangers will twist things to suit their stupid world view, and yet agian try to blame anyone, especially the EU, for their own lack of understanding of the issues Brexit raises and their total lack of a plan a let alone plan b onwards.

On Thursday, the UK Government will publish first of its technical notices, so will be interesting/scary/hilarious to see what they have left out or got wrong. THese are on how to prepare for a no deal Brexit, and for just one thing say that Dover and Kent in general is not ready for a no deal.

All that will be done is motorways turned into lorry parks, preparation work is already beginning between Ashford and Maidstone. So if something so basic as more parking spaces for trucks is not ready, anything requiring more planning and time will not be completed for years, if at all. NO one, except the headbangers, think the UK is "ready" for no deal, not that any country could ever be, as it is the economic version of cutting both your arms off.

But still, under seven months to go, and still no agreement in Government on what Brexit means, and May's Chequers Plan impossible to be passed in Parliament.
